The GY-BMP280-5 Barometer Module is a high-precision atmospheric pressure sensor. In addition to measuring atmospheric pressure, the sensor detects altitude and ambient temperature. Thus, the module can be used to build a home weather station or create instruments such as barometer, altimeter, etc. The GY-BMP280-5 is often used in homemade airplanes, quadcopters and others.

The module board is designed based on the improved BMP280 chip and other auxiliary components. The chip is an atmospheric pressure sensor in a metal case with 8 pins. ADC resolution is increased up to 20 bits. The accuracy of barometric pressure measurement is 1 hPa, temperature 1 °C, and altitude up to 1 meter.

The atmospheric pressure module supports I2C and SPI serial interfaces, which allows the sensor to be seamlessly connected to an Arduino platform or other microcontroller devices.
