PTFE/Teflon cable has a number of distinctive properties such as resistance to cracking under frequent temperature changes, resistance to most aggressive chemical media (acids, alkalis, solvents, oil and gasoline), optimal outer diameter to save space when mounting electronic components.

PTFE/Teflon cables are most suitable for use in high frequency signal equipment. The uniform insulation thickness around the conductor and the very low dielectric constant of PTFE allow high frequency signals to be transmitted with minimal loss compared to other wires, resulting in high quality signal transmission.
